After a string of injuries from playing football and running, I became less active and was exercising inconsistently. I knew I needed to find something to build my strength and fitness whilst also reducing my risk of injury. That’s when I decided to join True Fitness and train with Robert on a 1:1 basis and I’m glad I did.
We got into training straight away and Robert worked hard to gauge where I was at to deliver challenging sessions that were also manageable. After one circuits class with the wider True Fitness group and a parkrun later, I can honestly say I felt so welcomed by everyone and the amount of support every one gives each other in the PT Facebook group is heartening and a big boost.
Starting out only a few weeks before lockdown, a lot of my training had been through online sessions with Robert, with one group video session per week. I have seen massive improvement just from following these sessions (which he has tailored to the equipment you have at home). Prior to starting training, I could barely string together more than a few press-ups and I have already seen a huge difference with these alone.
I would recommend training with Robert and True Fitness to anyone who is looking to take control of their fitness- it is worth every penny.
