Why should I use a Personal Trainer? add

No matter your level of fitness, everyone can benefit from using a Personal Trainer. You will fulfill your potential and do so much quicker with a well educated and motivational PT. Having someone you can turn to for fitness/health advice and support at any time is invaluable.

Beginners will learn new skills and gain knowledge, and even if you’ve been training for years you may well be stuck in a rut or have plateaued. A fresh pair of eyes can make the world of difference in helping you to achieve your goals.

Who do you train? add

Anyone and everyone. Young, old, complete beginner, elite athlete, male, female – The principles of fitness are the same, the only difference is in how we apply them.

What if I'm really unfit? add

We’ll work out your current fitness level during the assessment and create a training program based around the results. If you are a complete beginner, or it’s been a while since you exercised, then your first few sessions will be at a much lower intensity, only increasing once you are completely ready both physically and mentally.

What’s involved in the free consultation? add

We offer a free 30 minute consultation which includes an analysis of your current diet, fitness and lifestyle. We will talk about your goals and give you some feedback on how we can achieve them. Then it’s up to you to decide if you like what you hear and want to commit to a training program with True Fitness.

How much does it cost? add

See our packages HERE. Remember this – You can’t put a price on your health, and not all PTs are created equal. The best Personal Trainer is the one that gets you results, rarely the one that is the cheapest.

Can I bring a friend or relative? add

Yes, for those who want to work out with a partner we offer 2:1 training sessions which can also reduce the cost per person. See HERE.

Where do I train? add

Your sessions will take place in our fully equipped private studio gym in Kilmarnock. This isn’t a walk in gym so quite often you’ll have the place to yourself.

When can I train? add

We’ll do our best to work out a time that suits you. We are open every day Monday to Friday and for a few hours at the weekends.

What should I wear/bring? add

Clothing should be comfortable and allow you to move freely. You will get warm while exercising so removable layers are advisable. Trainers are required as footwear. Bring a bottle of water and small towel with you as well.

What will the average session be like? add

Each session will be tailored towards the individual to make sure that it is in line with the goals that you have set out and will involve body weight, free weights and cardio exercises with a good warm up and cool down at the beginning and end of the session. We take on board your exercise likes/dislikes and current fitness levels to ensure that, although it can be hard work at times, you enjoy every workout. The overall session is 60 minutes long.

How often do I need to train? add

That’s up to you. It goes without saying that you will see much quicker results with 4-5 workouts a week than just one, however we will create a training schedule around you and the time you have available to train both at our premises and on your own. At least one PT session per week is advised as it gives you much greater focus than a solo session and allows us to sit down and discuss how your plans have gone over the previous week and plan for the week ahead.

When should I expect to see results? add

You should see, and equally importantly, feel the results within 4-6 weeks, particularly if you are new to exercise and are consistently putting in the effort. The closer you stick to the training program, the quicker you will make progress.

How do I pay? add

All payments must be made in advance of each session or block booking via BACS, Paypal or Cash. Unfortunately there are no refunds once payment is made and sessions are booked.

Block bookings of 10 or more can be paid every 5 weeks in advance, i.e £150 in week one, £150 in week five for a 10 week block. See HERE for booking.

What if I need to cancel a session? add

We are unable to process refunds for both personal training sessions and class booking.

Class Bookings Cancellation Policy:
We will normally be unable to reschedule a missed class session regardless of length of notice given. We may review in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

Personal Training Cancellation Policy:
PT sessions can be rescheduled if more than 24 hours notice is given.

For more information visit our cancellation policy page.

I started at True Fitness 3 weeks ago and really enjoying it, one PT and one class a week. Classes are hard work (but aren't they meant to be ) Robert puts you at ease at PT but works you hard. Lovely gym.
